I am a Clinical Reflexologist Practitioner, specialising in Women's Health including Menstrual Disorders, Perimenopause, Menopause and Post Menopause, Fertility and Pregnancy. I practice in my private treatment room and at
Victoria Park Osteopaths in Victoria Park in East London and at the
London Health Clinic at 38 Lombard Street in the City of London.
Reflexology is a growing area of chosen therapies and often, both, patients and reflexologists are surprised by the extent to which people are helped by complementary approaches, and the results treatments can have.
There are two sides to reflexology; there is the adjunct service which offers general wellbeing and relaxation treatments, and there is the clinical approach. A clinical reflexologist provides treatments for the relief of problematic, acute or chronic symptoms using the complementary and holistic approach of reflexology. To qualify as a clinical reflexologist requires a higher level of training and education. This includes the comprehension and understanding of the legal and ethical implications in the provision of complementary therapy, as well as the ability to demonstrate they have the skills, competence and understanding in the professional application of clinical reflexology. An experienced reflexologist is able to identify from the feet, areas of the body that are affected by changing physiology of current, previous or impending pathologies and help to alter the course of illness from occurring, or at least to reduce its severity.
The practice is based on an ancient system of reflex areas. Working prescribed reflex points on the feet or hands, a treatment is based on the principle that physical change takes place by stimulating the corresponding anatomical areas of the body. The first visit includes an in-depth consultation, followed by a treatment.
